The garden was buzzing with life, but one voice was missing. A young fairy named Poppy, with wings like scarlet poppy petals, noticed the silence.

"Where is Bee?" she asked.

The other fairies shrugged. "Gone," they said. "Lost."

Poppy flew to the edge of the garden, past the fence, into the wild meadow. She searched under leaves, inside flowers, behind stones. Finally, she found him in a patch of clover, his wings torn, his buzz faint.

"Bee," she whispered. "What happened?"

"I chased a butterfly too far," he said. "The wind tore my wings. I cannot fly home."

Poppy touched his broken wings. "I will carry you."

She lifted him onto her back, her tiny wings straining. She flew through the meadow, past the fence, into the garden. The other fairies watched in amazement.

"You brought him back," they said.

"We brought him back," Poppy replied. "Together."

She laid Bee on a soft petal, where the other bees gathered around him, humming comfort.

"You saved me," Bee whispered.

"You would have done the same," Poppy said.

Bee's wings healed slowly, but they healed. He flew again, stronger than before. And every day, he visited Poppy, bringing her drops of nectar and stories from the sky.

Poppy became known as the Rescuer Fairy, always ready to help those who were lost.

The other fairies no longer ignored the edges of the garden. They patrolled the fence, watched the meadow, listened for cries of help.

And Bee never chased a butterfly again. He stayed close to home, close to Poppy, close to the garden.

The flowers bloomed brighter that summer, as if celebrating the bee's return.

And Poppy? She still flies to the meadow, checking under leaves, inside flowers, behind stones.

She knows that being lost can happen to anyone. Even fairies need a little help sometimes.

Bee still visits, his buzz a familiar song in the garden.

And Poppy still carries him, sometimes, just for the joy of flying together.

The garden is full of stories. But this one is the sweetest-about a bee, a fairy, and the kindness that brought him home.
